AlderSigning in for the first time
Your invitation, your password, and what to do if you lose it.
When your website is paid for and ready, you get an email inviting you to your dashboard. The link in it signs you in and asks you to choose a password. That is the whole setup.
- Open the invitationIt comes from us, to the email address on your account. If it is not in your inbox, look in spam — it is a one-off email with a link in it, which is exactly what spam filters are suspicious of.
- Choose a passwordUse something long rather than something clever. Three unrelated words is stronger than one word with symbols in it, and you will remember it.
- Bookmark the dashboardYou will come back to it. It is the same address every time.
You can invite other people from your own business to edit the site. Go to Account, then add them by email. They get their own sign-in; you never share a password.
