Tick the orders, get one file for your courier, bring the tracking numbers back.

You buy your postage wherever you already do: USPS Click-N-Ship, Pirate Ship, Royal Mail Click and Drop, a courier's own site. This gets your orders into that tool in one go, and gets the tracking numbers back out of it without you typing anything.

  1. Filter to what is going outShop, then Orders. To send is the one you want. Narrow it by date if you only want today's.
  2. Tick themA box beside each order, and one at the bottom that ticks the whole page. Downloads and collections cannot be ticked, because there is nothing to post.
  3. Choose your courier and downloadThe menu at the bottom has the common ones. Pick yours, press Download for the courier, and you get one file.
  4. Buy the labelsUpload that file to your courier's site, buy the postage, print the labels. Nothing about that step changes.
  5. Bring the numbers backYour courier will let you download what it just made. Upload that file at the bottom of the Orders screen. Every order in it is marked as sent and every buyer is emailed their tracking number.

If your courier is not in the list, or wants something odd, you can build your own. Name the columns, say what goes in each, and it appears in the menu with the rest.

It says some orders were not recognised.

The file had an order number this shop has never had. Usually it is a line your courier added, or a file from a different shop. The ones it did recognise are still marked as sent.

Will it email somebody twice?

No. An order already marked as sent is left alone, even if it is in the file again.

The weights are empty.

Weight comes from the products. Set it on each one under its options and prices, and it will be in the file from then on. Most couriers ask you for a weight if the file does not carry one.

Can I still do them one at a time?

Yes. Opening an order and filling in the carrier and tracking number by hand works exactly as before.
