About your website
Editing, publishing, domains and search engines.
I changed something and it is not on my website.
It is saved as a draft. Press Publish on that page and it goes live within seconds. Preview shows drafts; the live site does not.
Can I have my own domain name?
Yes, and you should. Tell us the address and we will give you the two settings to enter at the company you bought it from. Your site then lives there, and the temporary address sends people on to it so nothing breaks.
Will I show up on Google?
Your site is built to be found: it is fast, it works on a phone, every page has a proper title and description, and there is a list of your pages that Google reads. Beyond that, coming up high takes content and time. The single most useful thing you can do is keep a page about what you do in the words your customers use, and claim your Google Business Profile.
Can I add a new page?
Ask us. Pages are structural — navigation, addresses, how they link together — so we set them up and you fill them in. It usually takes us a few minutes.
Can I change the design myself?
You can change the colours, the fonts, the corner shape and the spacing, and every page follows. Layout and the sections on a page are ours; ask and we will change them.
What happens if I delete something by accident?
Tell us straight away. Everything is backed up nightly and we can put back what was there. The sooner you say, the less there is to lose.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Not for anything we do. We set no tracking cookie and keep no addresses; visitor counts come from a number that cannot be turned back into a person and changes daily. If you add something of your own that does track people, that changes — ask first.
