AlderYour monthly plan, and the card for it
How the monthly fee is paid, and how to add or replace the card.
Once your site is live there is a monthly fee for hosting and looking after it. How it is paid depends on one thing: whether you have added a card for it.

| Each month | Stripe charges the card automatically. Nothing to do. | Stripe emails you an invoice, due 7 days after it is sent, and you pay it by hand. |
| If a payment is missed | Stripe tries the card again. | The invoice becomes overdue, and the site is taken down if it stays unpaid. |
- Open InvoicesAlong the top of the dashboard. The monthly plan is at the top of the page.
- Press Add a cardOnly the account owner has this button, because the card is what commits the account to paying.
- Enter it on Stripe's pageYou are taken to Stripe, the company that handles the payments. We never see the card and we never store it.
- Come backStripe sends you back to Invoices, which now shows the card by its last four digits. From then on the fee is charged to it each month.
