A real website, built for your business, looked after by people.

Not a page builder and not an agency retainer: a working site from a template that fits your trade, shaped to you, that you can edit yourself.

What you get

Everything a small business needs from a website, and a few things it would not think to ask for.

Edit it yourself, on the real page

The studio shows your actual site while you change it. Click a part of the page, change the words, try a different look on it, publish when you are happy. Nothing to learn, nothing to break.

The studio: one part of a real site, restyled twelve ways, side by side.

A shop, if you sell things

Products with sizes and colours, a cart that works on any phone, checkout through Stripe, and every order in one place. The money goes straight to you.

A blog, if you write

Real posts, each with its own address, sorted by topic, with a back catalogue people can browse. Write on Sunday, publish on Tuesday.

Fast, because the page is ready before anyone asks for it

Every page is made in advance, so a visitor on a poor signal is not kept waiting. We count visits without a script and without a cookie, which is why your site needs no cookie banner.

Easy for everyone to use

Every page works with a screen reader and from a keyboard, the text is big enough and dark enough to read, and every picture carries a description for people who cannot see it. Colours are checked as you choose them. Small businesses get complaints about this; yours will not.

Looked after

A copy of everything every night, email that arrives, your web address renewed at cost, and a person who answers. That is what the monthly fee is for.

The work

Every site below is a working website, not a picture of one. Open any of them on your phone.

See every template

19 starting points. None alike.

Every template has its own lettering, colours, corners and movement. Two businesses that start from the same one end up with sites nobody would take for siblings.

How it works

  1. We meet you

A conversation about your business, in person or on a call. You tell us what you do and who you want to reach.

  2. We build your site

We start from a template that fits your trade and shape it to you: your words, your photos, your colours. You review it before anything goes live.

  3. You edit your own content

Prices change, hours change. You log in and change them yourself, in plain forms, with no one to wait on. We keep the site up, fast and safe.

What it costs

One fee to build it, one a month to keep it. No surprises, no percentage of what you sell.

The build
A fixed price, agreed before we start, for the site we agree to build. You see it before it goes live.
Every month
Keeping it online, a copy of everything every night, your email working, your web address renewed at cost, the studio, and a person to ask. Cancel on thirty days' notice and take your content with you.
Nothing else
No commission on sales, no charge for edits you make yourself, no fee for asking a question.

Questions

Do I own the site?

The words and the pictures are yours, and so is your web address if you have one. The system they run on stays ours. If you leave, you take a copy of everything you put in.

Can I edit it myself?

Yes, in the studio, on the real page. Prices, hours, photos, the words in any part of it. Publishing is one button. If you would rather we did it, ask.

How long does it take?

Usually a couple of weeks from the first conversation to a site you can show people. Most of that is waiting for photographs.

What if I already have a web address?

We point it at the new site on launch day. Your email keeps working.

Will it work on phones?

Every template is built on a phone first. Open any demo on yours.
